As per the official notification, selection has an online Preliminary exam, an online Main exam and a test of the specified local language. Preliminary marks are used only for shortlisting and are not added to the final merit. Roughly 10 times the vacancies, category-wise, are to be shortlisted for the Main exam in descending order of aggregate marks, subject to availability. No minimum qualifying marks are fixed for individual tests or for the aggregate score in the Preliminary exam.
